Medspa Interior Design Expertise Featured in Hotel Design Magazine

In the June issue of Hotel Design magazine there is an article I wrote discussing medspa interior design.  The focus is how to optimize medical spa interior design for maximum profit.

Some of Acara’s projects are featured in the photos, all of which Pia Prevost was the interior designer/architect of record.

The Hotel Design Magazine article is based on an upcoming Acara Webinar on medspa and cosmetic practice interior design offered on Tuesday July 20th at 1:00 p.m.

Hope you have a chance to read the article and even better, read the article and attend the webinar.

Medical Spa Interior Design

This past Tuesday I presented a Webinar on Medical Spa Interior Design.  It was so well received we decided to run it again on July 20th.

Here are a few of the comments:

Fran, The webinar on Interior Design was another gift from ACARA Partners. It gave me focus, inspiration, and information that I found very helpful. It was amazing that you could fit so much within one hour time.  I guess, your experience makes it possible to give your clients the most important – must know and do- information.  As an interior designer, I was so impressed with the quality of your presentation. People really do not know about very expensive mistakes they can make setting up a spa. Thank you so much. — Marina Goldberg Klima.

Loved yesterdays webinar (Interior Design of MedSpa.) I’m in the process of building now. It helped a lot! Thanks! — Laurene DiPasquale

If you are thinking about opening a medical spa or cosmetic practice, please feel free to give us a call for a complimentary consultation.  Or to join the Webinar register here.

Interior Design – No. 1 Blog Hit for the No. 1 Designer

I am amazed that SpaBusinessMD’s number one hit from on-line searches is for Spa Interior Design.  Now, needless togreenwich-lobby-with-chair-and-partial-desk1 say, I believe that our Designer, Pia Prevost is the number 1 Interior Designer/Architect in the spa and medical spa industries.  She has designed many spas, medical spas and medical practices throughout the United States over the past 10 years.  She was trained in Switzerland and came to the United States when she worked for Swiss Hotels where she was a project manager.  That experience really taught her to connect the design of a facility to the potential profitability.

If someone is interested in Pia’s Interior Design Services, please give me a call, (203-488-0028 x303) it would be my pleasure to make an introduction.  For the best results, combine her services with our knowledge and expertise of concept development and programming.

Maximizing Medical Spa Interior Design

Earlier this year I wrote an article in conjunction with our interior Designer Pia Prevost on Medical Spa Interior Design.  It was published in The Medical Spa Report.  I thought I’d share this with everyone.  In addition, if anyone wishes to share interior design or architectural tips with the readers please feel free.  If you are interested in Acara’s Interior Design Services please contact me at 203-488-0028 x303.

Interior Motives

When it comes to running a successful medical spa, don’t underestimate the power of design.

Medical Spa Report

In business, it is often stated that to launch a new venture, you need three key ingredients: demand in the marketplace, skilled management, and capital. But when it comes to the world of medical spas, this three-variable formula is missing an element that is critical to the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of a medical spa: great design that successfully communicates a vision, mission, and concept. We often focus on our websites, advertisements, and printed collateral and lose sight of our most visual and experiential marketing asset—architecture and interior design.
Foregoing the utilitarian approach to design typically associated with a medical facility, you build expectations in the marketplace that must be met when you use the term “medical spa” to describe your business. Failing to meet those expectations can cause you to falter. Be sure to focus on the impact the facility will have on all five senses. Attention to detail is imperative in successfully turning a medical facility into a world-class medical spa. People often attempt to do this without the right professionals or with no professionals at all. When seeking an architect or interior designer, verify his or her experience in designing medical spa facilities. Great medical spas have one thing in common—their design is effective, efficient, and impactful. MORE…
